The third leg of the 2018 bodymindsoul carnival series continued on the 25 & 26 August 2018 at Summit USJ.
A highlight for this carnival was the round table discussion “Learn from the Experts – The Abundance Mind Set”. Panelists Sky Kho (Managing Director, The Golden Space Malaysia), Lim Kian Meng (Co-Founder of AGTIV Consulting Sdn Bhd) and Debbie Choa (Executive Director of Projek57), shared not only their personal views on what abundance means, but also their experiences, challenges and tips in growing abundance.
To drive in the message of “Attracting Abundance”, 28 children from ProMizzion, ranging from 9 to 18 years old, performed a series of dances, role-play, inspirational speech and also organized a flash mob. Coached by Jason Ng, the children displayed outstanding performance skills in “Small Action, Big Impact” as they educated visitors on the importance of having a positive mindset and attitude towards life which will lead to abundance in all aspects. These young ones certainly created Big Impact with their performance skills!
To inspire visitors towards a healthy body through fun and music, this carnival had the first ever “Steam Dance” Workshop. Conducted by the internationally acclaimed KTNK Dance Crew, 5 dance instructors took turns to teach visitors basic but impressive dance moves. What a great way to charge up the energy of a great Sunday morning as everyone moved synchronously to the music’s powerful rhythm! Not only that, the dance crew also entertained the crowd with their sleek moves in-between stage activities. Everyone watched in awe as they executed all those seemingly bone-breaking moves.
Some of the other interesting activities included diabolo performance, sound healing, various types of meditations, health and wellness sharing, acoustic music performance, empowering and educational mini-talks, and many others.
The Enchanted World of Mother Earth, consisted of two exciting booths run by affiliates of bodymindsoul Magazine. The Guardians of Mother Earth held eco bricking demonstration as well as a sharing about Zero Waste.
A pre-loved toys and book exchange station was organized by The Golden Space Holistic Institute, together with an Anti-Plastic Puppet Show, poster presentation on “Joy-ology” and +Energy games.
Through generous sponsorships, booths were made available to selected NGOs to offer their products and services and raise public awareness. This also encouraged the NGOs to practice self-sustainability and at the same time, the public was made aware of the different NGOs that needed assistance. In the same spirit of community and again with sponsors, the two carnivals also invited children from selected homes to participate in self-development workshops. Other than the content itself, the Self-Development Workshop exposure gave these children the chance to experience learning in a different setting as opposed to a classroom learning.
A Huge Success!
bodymindsoul carnival have been hugely successful in bringing awareness, love and positivity to the communities in which they were held, touching and changing lives. Together with vendors and partners, the carnivals made available different positive solutions to the community, inspiring them towards living an empowered, positive life full of abundance!
