PLANT-BASED DIET
Infotorial
Just A Craze Or Here To Stay?
These days, people are looking to eat less meat and are reducing their consumption of animal products. Vegetarianism, veganism and most recently, the plant-based diet have grown in popularity.
More and more people are switching to a plant-based diet. It certainly looks like it is not a fad but is here to stay! Even restaurants everywhere are revamping their menus to cater to these increasingly popular plant-based demands, lest they lose out to their competitors.
People everywhere are embracing this plant-based diet fervently. Why?
Save The Planet
Global greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation, air and water pollution, and biodiversity loss are undesirable environmental effects resulting from animal agriculture. Going plant-based can substantially reduce such impact and help save our Earth.
Eat Healthier
The term “plant-based” typically refers to a diet that is based primarily on plant foods. A plant-based diet helps prevent, treat, or reverse chronic illnesses and reduces risks of lifestyle diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure and cancer. With proper planning, we can have all the nutrients we need in a plant-based diet to live healthy and vibrant lives!
Care For The Animals
Animals are subject to extreme and cruel conditions of confinement, trauma and inhumane slaughter, all for the sake of food production. By adopting a plant-based diet, we exercise our choice to not put animals through such deep suffering.
